DALLAS

For being the most populous city in the Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex, the city’s population ranks 9th in the US. Dallas also holds another title for being the largest economic center of the 12-county Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex metropolitan area – commonly referred to as DFW.

With a humid subtropical climate, Dallas is known to experience four distinct seasons. The coldest month of the year being in the month of January. Temperatures dip down to as low as 37.3 °F (3 °C) with an average high of 56.8 °F (14 °C). Dallas is not known for snowfall during the winter season; however, on average there are 2 days a year in which Dallas does see some relative snowfall. With the hottest months of the year falling in July and August, the summers get very hot and humid in Dallas. Temperatures range from a low of 76.7 °F (25 °C) to a high of 96.0 °F (36 °C).
